The Yarn Tree: A Fiber Arts Studio + Store

WE'RE GOING TO THE COUNTRY!!!!

Once again we'll be making the trip up to the Dutchess County Sheep & Wool Festival. This will be the third time making this trip!

We'll be leaving from in front of The Yarn Tree at 6:30am Saturday, October 15th, and we should be back by 8:00pm.

Due to many requests we will also be making a pickup in Manhattan at 7:00 am. We will pick people up in front 135 West 29th Street (between 6th/7th). This is the building that Habu Textiles is located in. It is convenient to most subway lines. I ask that you be there by 6:50 so that we can leave promptly at 7:00!

For those of you meeting us in Brooklyn at The Yarn Tree we will once again be serving coffee & donuts starting at 6:00 to wake you up. We ask that you arrive at The Yarn Tree no later than 6:20 so that we can leave promptly at 6:30! (Sorry-Manhattanites there is really no way to coordinate coffee and donuts for you!)

Everyone will receive a Goody Bag (these are turning into collectors items as we do a new bag each year), and on the way home we'll hold a raffle of items donated by the vendors who supply The Yarn Tree.

Our first stop will be Barton Orchards for apple & pumpkin picking. They have a lovely farm stand store, hay rides and hot apple cider.

We'll reach the fairgrounds in Rhinebeck in time for lunch. You will have the afternoon to roam the Fairgrounds. (The Fairgrounds close at 5:00 pm on Saturday!)

Lunch is on your own, you can pack a lunch, or stop by the many food booths throughout the grounds. I recommend the Lamb Chili made by the 4Hers and the pies made by their Moms!!

The cost of the trip is $80.00 per person, this includes admission to the Fairgrounds.

You can sign up online below, at the shop or by phone. Be sure to sign up early as space is limited.
