Aleppo White Oak Gallnuts

Oak Gallnuts are one of the best sources of tannin for natural dyeing in the mordanting process.  Oak Gallnuts do not impart a strong color to the fabric. They help to create very sharp shades of any color by assisting a mordant to bind to cellulose fibers. 

Oak Galls have been used in ink making since Roman times.

Use 10g Oak Gallnuts for each 100g of fiber.
