Hydrated Lime - Calcium Hydroxide

Hydrated lime or calcium hydroxide, is prepared by reaction between lime from limestones and water.

Hydrated Lime used in the making of the natural indigo vat.

Hydrated lime is used for the preparation of an indigo dye-bath with iron, fructose or Henna

• Used in a natural fermentation vat such as Michel Garcia's 1,2,3 vat
• Dipping your fabric into lime water before dyeing with indigo will also enhance the shades.
