Tartaric Acid granules

Tartaric Acid is a by-product of white wine making and is also found in vegetables and many fruits.

When mordanting of wool and silk, in addition to alum, tartaric acid gives different shades than those obtained with the cream of tartar. Recommended also for cochineal dyeing to achieve bright reds.
